Permanent Doorcodes are unique and created directly by Latch. When a Doorcode is assigned to you in the Latch App, you are the only one who is given this specific doorcode.
If you'd like to change your doorcodes across all doors (including communal doors):
If you'd like to change your doorcodes across all doors (including communal doors), you'll need to reach out to your property management team or host and ask them to revoke all of your current access at once and then re-grant it, as this will generate a new Doorcode(s) for your account.
Please note that to ensure that the prior Doorcode(s) is no longer valid on any non-internet connected Latch devices (such as the one on an apartment unit door), a door update must be performed once you are re-invited to access your doors with the Latch App.
If you'd like to reset your doorcodes for residential doors only:
Make sure your phone has the latest Latch App version installed (please check your Apple Store or PlayStore for that). Then:
1. Open the menu on the left-hand side of your Latch App
2. Choose 'My Doorcodes' and select the private unit door where you'd like to reset your doorcode.
3. Choose the three dots on the right-hand side
4. Follow the steps to reset your doorcode
5. Perform a door update on the door for the old doorcode to no longer work and for the new doorcode to work.
